Tricia was born in Melbourne Australia, and now resides with her husband near the seaside town of Byron Bay in northern New South Wales.
Tricia’s love for art was fostered by her childhood exposure to the collection of works, which hung in her grandfather’s home. Later on you could find her wandering the great halls of the National Gallery of Victoria on any given Sunday, fascinated by the works of the great masters.
She spent many years working in the corporate world until June of 2002, when the opportunity to indulge in her passion finally presented itself.
Her paintings reflect her affinity with the poetry of life: embracing the family of mankind, the beauty in all things, and her delight for the humorous.
Although Tricia has no formal training and is largely self-taught,
she has been fortunate enough to receive the guidance of several successful
artists, including Jeffrey Gold, David Kassan, and William Whitaker from the
USA,
and Rene Bolten, James Guppy, and Jim Thalassoudis from Australia .
Tricia has attended workshops at The Julian Ashton School
in Sydney, and The Scottsdale School of Art, in Phoenix Arizona.
In September of 2005, Tricia entered her first art competition with the painting “Mother & Child”. This effort won her first prize in the Bangalow Art Show.
In January of 2007, Tricia was awarded First Prize In the
P.A.N. Byron Bay Art Prize for her painting “Dream Dance”.
Tricia says of her work :
“I paint that which moves me, with the hope that the viewer will share in the emotion of the painting – whether it be the beauty, love, or humour.
"I have no idea what I will paint until the inspiration hits me. It is both a joy and a struggle, and an amazing journey of expression and fulfilment.
"My inspiration comes from The Divine Beloved - The One the Sufi poets call “The Friend.”

“Art is an act of love in likeness of itself.
Spirit moulding matter into lovely form.
His act, in us, for Him”.
